Once you get down Near Point, the hiking is easy to the Lake.

Campbell Creek Valley
 (view from Mt. Wolverine)

It's morning and she wishes I would pack up so we can hike!

There are 2 small tarns after long lake. In the back are Mt. Wolverine, Near Point and way in the distance, Sleeping Lady. The pass to Williwaw lakes is behind the ridge on the right -near the cirque-.

Long Lake I

This is a very aptly named lake as it took me a long time to go around it.

The small peak in the back is Near Point. Head diagonally up to it then walk along its spine towards Anchorage till you get to the main trail.

Don't travel along this creek or you'll be bushwhacking big time.
