After you get up the slope, you'll see the ruins of a mining operation. The water twists and weaves its way in and out of the chasm. This is the view from the Federal Cabin. There are tiny glaciers all over the valley. This is right behind Crystal Lake but you won't see it till further down the trail.

Crow Glacier

This first time I came over the ridge and saw this, it took my breath away. Make sure you block some time to explore this glacier. Been here 4 times and I'm still amazed at the glacial aftermath. The whole area around the glacier is incredible. Raven Glacier IV

When you get down to the riverbed after Raven, hook a left up to the top of the bank. Looking down from the bridge freaks me out! You'll need to make a lot of noise through here to let any bears know you're there as your view and theirs are constantly obscured by brush. There is great wildflower viewing here. Down below is the ford as well as a great place to set up camp.
