Bear in the Distance

There is a trail at the bottom of the mountain if you're dayhiking to the back canyon; a much shorter route. The symphony side has the better campsites.  Many people camp right on the ridge for both views. After setting up camp, take a day hike into this deep canyon for great waterfall and dall sheep viewing.

Eagle Lake was formed when the rockslide in the foreground dammed up the river. Lots of great exploring in the back canyon.
