Despite the high grass, the trail is
present. Our dogs were able to keep us on track (I guess they could see
it better closer to the ground).
I'm glad we kept our dogs on leash, as we did run into a porcupine.

Good
morning, I
thought maybe you would like another picture to add to your Ptarmigan
Valley Trail hike. This picture shows the Peter’s Creek drainage in
front of you, it is on the main snow machine trail about mid point
between the cutoffs for the summer foot trail. I like the wider snow
machine trail although it is a little wet in spots. From the point where
this was taken, you will go about another ½ mile and turn uphill
heading towards a bridge that crosses Peters creek, a good spot for a
breather and a snack and a drink for your dogs if you have them. The
mountains you see in front of you in this pic will be on your left hand
side the rest of the way up. Take care, thanks for your great site. It
is invaluable.
